ARTISTS GIVE PEOPLE SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE MISSING. [DANIEL PINK]
Based on the French word gicleur, (a technical term for a jet or a nozzle), and the associated verb gicler (to spray), a giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) is a high quality, high resolution digital reproduction of original artwork using pigment-based ink printed on acid-free, archival paper. This process resists the influences of UV rays, retains color longer and greatly enhances the overall longevity of a fine art print in ways that dye-based inks, normal inkjet or laser printers cannot. You can enjoy these quality prints for many, many years to come.
All of my gicleés are prepared with a 1.5" white border around the image area, ready to mat and frame as you please. Dimensions shown include the border.
