ARTISTS GIVE PEOPLE SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE MISSING. [DANIEL PINK]
Based on the French word gicleur, (a technical term for a jet or a nozzle), and the associated verb gicler (to spray), a giclée (pronounced zhee-KLAY) is a high quality, high resolution digital reproduction of original artwork using pigment-based ink printed on acid-free, archival paper or canvas.
My paper gicleé prints are prepared with a 1.5" white border around the image area, ready to mat and frame as you please. Dimensions shown include the border.
My canvas gicleés are gallery wrapped, so the art "wraps around" a 1.5" canvas frame for a finished look that's ready to hang.
